Stop Child Labor

Raising Awarness for children across the globe struggling with child labor.

Our Mission

Our campaign is to raise awareness of child labor around the globe. Estimated about 160 million children fall subject to child labor each year. Child labor cuts off children from health care and schooling , restricting fundamental rights to their lives and future. Not only does child care restrict people from their basic rights but it brings harmful environments that can even result in death. The topic of child labor raises questions such as, how does poverty drive child labor around the earth? Is child labor legal, if so what are the restrictions? And what are long term effects for children that fall subject to child labor and harsh conditions? These are questions we strive to answer. Our mission is to inform people of the everyday struggles that children endure, and the rights they are being deprived of. We need to keep these children out of working conditions and in schools!

"Child labor and poverty are inevitably bound together and if you continue to use the labor of children as the treatment for the social disease of poverty, you will have both poverty and child labor to the end of time," Grace Abbott.

"As long as I can remember I've worked in a restaurant, washing dishes, cutting vegetables, throwing out the garbage," said Rama Chandran, a scared looking 13-year-old boy as he cleared dishes from a small, dirty eatery.
